I've got 2 1998 Kawasaki 300 Bayou's and 1 2001 Polaris Sportsman; I can't remember if its a 400 or a 500. I like them all but prefer riding the Bayou.
I have an old Polaris four wheeler that I use on the farm... I got it at an auction, so I'm not sure of any specs about it... not even what year it is. But, it runs great, and it's handier than a tractor or pickup sometimes, especially when chasing cattle. I've built racks on it to hold a variety of things. The seat is upholstered with duct tape, the fenders are held on with bungee cords, and the "headlight" is a 9-volt lantern... all in all, what you'd think of as a "farm ATV".
Yep, RXL 650 F.I. for my wife, and a 340 Indy Lite for my daughter. But, not to start a brand war, I really like my Yamaha 700 Mountain Max. I like its ride, balance and craftsmanship. However I haven't ridden any of the newer big Polaris twins, either.
No but not a bad way to go. I've always been against 4 stroke ways when it comes to atv/snowmobiling but after I bought my Predator I wouln't mind buying a sled that way. Way may bottom end torque which is good in deep powder. Just given you some of my .02.
Thats pretty tight. For me though, since I worked at a dealer for two years theres only two brand I would buy #1 Polaris and #2 is a tie between SkiDoo and Artic Cat. Although I think Artic Cats line of sleds looks much better than Skidoo do. But these days there all about the same. ~Charlie
