Chroming process
Well today I took my 55 Ford grille off and replaced it with the correct one (54) from ebay....took it to a chrome shop that claimed 8 weeks till finishing due to work...now gentlemen and ladies - That is way too long!!!!! These trucks are built to be driven not watched in a garage for a entire summer!!!! So i might need to hookup with old boy from the older post and see about that Tijuana hook-up... :-) ....also took off the custom springs and got some originals reworked with a lower stance....found out that the u-bolt pad was fabricated over the driver side and the center stud broke off into the axle...u talked about ****ED off!!!!! luckily there is Mid-Fifty to the rescue that only sells used u-bolt pads for our trucks....word of wisdom (they are the only company i know so far that has about everything besides Bobs F100)...well now the wait is on for this part so I can put the axle back together and tear up these streets in el paso, tx.....too many C@!%& boys talking the talk and not walking the walk.....
