Conversion kit for Cummins Turbo Diesel

Conversion kit for Cummins Turbo Diesel
I'd love to have the engine to try this one.
I put a '75 225 Chrysler Slant six with the A904 that came with it into my '72 Ford.
I started by measuring both the engine compartment and the engine. It looked as if it would fit physically. I dropped the engine into place and started looking what it would take to make it bolt up. I ended up having motor mount adapters made. They were u-shaped adapters that mounted onto the original Chrysler motor mounts. I had removed both frame towers, and moved the right one to the left side. I then mounted the left adapter to the frame tower, and the right one directly to the top of the existing front crossmember. For the trans I again made an adapter that went from the trans to the stock crossmember and had to move the crossmember forward, and simply drilled the frame so I could bolt it up. This setup lasted for 3 yrs with no problems until I decided to go with a 351M. For the driveshaft I used the rear half of the drive shaft that went to the truck and the front half that went with the trans.
Ispent about a week deciphering a wiring diagram for the engine, and was able to go with complete Chrysler electronics.
Good Luck

I'll bet it there are kits to add a Cummins into a Ford, I think that some of the bigger F-series(F-650, F-750) have an optional Cummins engine. That might even be a good way to get rid of any "Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel"(I think thats what they say) markings on the valve cover. Sounds like a great project, what engine was originally in the '73?
