What is the fastest anyone has ever drove? I know it is not the smartest thing to try and do but it sure is fun! I hit 143 in a 2000 Lincoln LS V-8. It scared me to so needless to say I am not going to try it again. I just wanted to see what it would govern out at and at 143 it still wanted to go! I have had my bronco at about 100 and in that thing it felt like I was doing 200! So far 143. How about anyone else?

My first car was a 1966 mustang with the straight six. It was one of those going to restore but never got around too it kind of things. I remember getting it up to 105 on the interstate and it was shaking something horrible. I thought the car was going to fall apart. After that I never did get it above 80.

 

The fastest in a car was the first day my older brother got to drive his 70 Cutless Supreme to school. About 5 of us jumped in after school and took it out on the highway and for a couple of miles he never let off. The spedo went to 120 and peged long before it quit pulling. I have never been so scared. The thing was floating all over the road with those old bias plies. Stupid, Stupid.
That was one sweet car. Under 30 thousand original miles in 79. Olds 350 4 barrel Dual exhast. Would have been a 442 had it had the 4sp and tack.
The dumb **** sold it to pay for his wedding.
The wench left him for a guy with a fast car.

 

110 in a 80 Caddy hearse.
120 in a 87 mustang GT conv.(top down)
135 in a 89 jag XJ6.

 

132 (?) in a 65 Mustang on a two lane in NM at night with many many beers along. On cheapo steel belt radials with guardrail-seeking brakes. Never again.

 

143 in a 66 Mustang (ticket to prove that one)
150 in a Pantera (was no longer allowed to take cars off the lot after this one)
135 on a 1000LTD motorcycle (dad sold the bike after that one)
82 in a go-kart with modified mac20 on it. (dad sold kart after I left the track and went down the highway)

My truck speedo only goes to 85 and I was racing a Focus on the street and it was pegged! I was stupid, I was drinking and blowing through intersections at 1 am! DUMB! I been up to 120 in my Dodge Intrepid though going to Vegas.
