Hum..I forgot about the increased tire size....bummer the 05 has bigger wheels then my 04 :-(. I wasnt a real fan of the F-150 when they changed the body in late 90's. Todays model looks ok if you order the right package. I think the rear quaters need more body lines, for me its to flat and plain. However, it sure looks better then the transformer Silverado.

I am a little shocked to hear how everyone hates the coil over shocks, I though that was a "Biggie" everyone was waiting for.
For me, I bought an 04' 04' in Feb, have 7,300 miles on it without the first hickup, getting 17 mph around town and 19 when driving 73 mph (13 towing 8,500 lbs boat). I am happy with my truck, it's sticker was over $46K, needless to say, I am NOT going to be trading any time soon....like 12 years or something.
I do however think the dash looks upgraded, and I do like the stereo controls on the steering wheel. My wife's Escalade has those, and I really like them when I drive it

Bottom line. A truck is a truck is a truck. And there are many who rely on the low cost and stability of the manual over the automatic with all of its electronic gadgets and computer controlled what ever. I for one like to stick to the basics because I know that over time, if you add enough electronic junk on to a piece of machinery, its going to break and be very expensive to fix or replace.

"Coil Overs" is another name for strut. (In some circles)
The shock is INSIDE the coil.
Nobody has proven to me (for whatever that's worth. ) why coils are so evil compared to leafs.
I see may advantages to using them.
To say they are weaker than leaf spring just reveals one's ignorance in regards to spring steel.
