I just got my 351M into a 400 engine back from the builder and ran across a problem while installing it. The rotating assy was balanced and he used a Fluidamper tyoe of balancer which is fine by me but.....The stock balancer has a hub that comes out of the front of the damper that the bottom pullys sit on and then are bolted in place. The Fluidamper does not have this hub so even if I put the 4 bolts on the pullys can wiggle about 1/16". Also the back of the pully is recessed a bit so it does not sit flat on the aftermarket damper, there is about 1/8" gap between the two. Anyone else run across this and if so what was the fix?
Thanks in advance, Rick

I am using a Fluidamper (Streetdamper) on my 400, but have had no problems like you mentioned. I had the stock pulleys on for a while, now I have March Aluminum Serpentine pulleys.
Thanks for the reply danlee. I checked with the builder today and he called the manufacturer. There is a hub assy for mounting the pullys that was missing from the box. It should be here by 10 AM Tuesday.....hopefully.
