hey,
we had ours last weekend (i was in idaho, unfortunately!) anyways, i was talking to my barber today and i guess the local lake that they stocked with 250,000 trout was just DEAD on opening day, not one single person limited according to the game warden, the game officials got so scared they took the big sonar boat out to see if they fish all died or something, haha. just thought I'd share.

lol! only a couple more weeks until fishing season opens here. i can hardly wait

 

We have fishing season year round... heh heh....

 

The three levels of fishing:

1) Use a rod. This works well, if the fish are interested in the bait.

2) Cast net. If the fish ain't biting, reach in with the "Big Hand" and grab 'em!

3) Snorkel, mask, fins, and spear. All right you suckers! I'm comin' in after ya!!!

I tend to use all three for salt water, but in Hampton Roads the water is so full of silt the visibility is near zero.

I still get my share of croaker and bluefish though!

 

lake winnipeg and the red/assinaboine rivers are so durty and dangerous sornkeling is way out of the question. i use a rod and either a pickeral rig or a jig. sometimes when still fishing i don't wanna get up when they bite! im too bussy realxing and getting away from it all!

we have fishing season 11 out of the 12 months. only during spawning you can't fish

 

Ken, Where do you live? I live in the Florida Panhandale on the Gulf. It's fishing season all year round here too. I use bait that's bigger then a lot of fresh water fish. Right now the Cobia are running. I've caught 6 so far. The biggest being a little over 90 pounds. That is some GOOD eating.

 

and im sitting here catching little perch and walleye. i want a 90lbs fish

 

Joseph, If you ever make it down here to Florida from the Great White North, I would be happy to take you out on my boat and catch some fish. Of course all the girls in bikinis are a big distraction.
