swapping 1973 351w with 1978 302 help with electrical to distributor

I was given a 1973 ranchero with a blown 351w, I was fortunate to get a great deal on a 1978 ranchero with a brand new rebuilt 302, the problem is both distributors and rotor assemblies differ with the electrical harnesses coming off of them. they are both electronic (there's not a rotor cap). Could anyone tell me what to do?

somebody must have converted the 73 to electronic ignition...

I'm not sure what you mean by "not a rotor cap" as both distributors do have a rotor, and cap.

from what I understand here, the 73 doesn't have electronic ignition, and you are attempting to swap it in.... if so, you'll need a Pertronix electronic conversion kit ofr fords, it won't cost you more than $40.

I apologize, I acquire a lot of parts through Ebay, and I gave the price that I see most commonly applied to them. However, they are $75 new from Summit or Jegs.
