Might get a bronco, is it worth it?

Hey yall,

My grandparents have an old bronco which they say is a 68 or 69. It has a V8 which i think is a 302. It is all original and virtually rust free since it has always been it south texas. It has a few dents and dings and needs quite a bit of work mechanically. The truck also has a PTO winch on it but i dont know if it works or not. If i get it i want to do a frame off resto and paint it its original color, its camo right now. I dont know if my grandparents will give/sell it to me or not but i want it. My question is, is it worth it to restore this bronco? Also would this year bronco have the 9"/D44 axles under it?
Thanx

Is it worth it? for a virtually rust free bronco with a factory pto winch? I wish they were my grandparents!!! Go for it! And no, it isn't a D44 front, but rather a D30. It will have a 9" rear though.

Definitely go for it!!!!! The dana30 is'nt a big deal-theres plenty of dana44's out there from rusted away bronc's to replace it if necessary.

an update....
I talked to my dad and he said that my grandparents bought the bronco from some guy who rolled it so i'm guessing its not all original but it happened when the truck was new so it was probably fixed with OE sheet metal. The truck isnt completely rust free, but no cancer or holes or anything. I havent talked to my grandparents yet but i think they will give or sell it to me if I beg enough. I really dont need a D44 front unless the D30 wont handle to power from the 351W that i want to put in it. oh yes, another bonus, the truck has a gun rack on the roll bar and is painted camo. If i get it i will paint it original color though.

Just tell them that if they really love you they would give it to you-maybe some puppy dog eyes too, for good measure.
