It is hard to keep up with more than two threads and get work done all day long. I still need to go fix my "Service Engine Soon" problem tonight.

Well, fixed my "Service Engine Soon" Light. Turns out it was the EGR Valve. I tried cleaning my original one but I figured I put it through hell so why not let it R.I.P.

To be completely honest, I was intimidated when I opened the hood after I bought it. Much different than a good ole carburated 302. But I figured, what the hey...I've worked on plenty of cars that I have never seen under the hood prior to being asked to fix something.

Sweet!!! Congrats. Another one bites the dust!!!

Guess what...My EGR Valve swap didn't fix the problem. Apprently my truck takes 50miles for the computer to fully reset. I was told 20 and saw that the light was off. I'm thinking...cool. I fixed it. WRONG! So I break down and go to the corner shop and have them run a detailed scan. (Not one of those cheesy ones at Jiffy Lube that give you a P0401. That only narrows it down to four or five problems it could be)

NE way, It turns out it is my DPFE. I looked through FTE and found several threads on this. But no one ever mentions fixing it themselves or buying one. Is this a dealership only item? Typical Auto Parts Stores don't carry it around here. Someone Please help!
