Im installing a factory Ford System 6 Alarm and I have come to a point in the instructions for hooking up my power door locks. The problem is is that there are seperate instructions for Type A,B, or C systems. I have no idea what system I have or even where to look. Does anyone know? I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks.

I never heard of A/B/C systems, whats the difference? Ford does make changes, whats the difference between the install?

 

Same here I never heard of A/B/C systems. Are you sure there isn't some diagrams labeled A/B/C in the instructions ?

Well I'm not to much of an expert but I finally got it working. The only differences I saw where from the polarity of the switches and whether I had to conect a wire to ground or to 12v. Unfortunately I had the C system so it took a few different trys in wiring before I got it working. These instructions and diagrams where straight from Ford. They were actually different systems of installion but it was only for the door locks (They werent A,B,C diagrams but A,B, and C systems with each set of instructions on different pages - I'm thinking because of the difference in Ford Vehicles and not Rangers).
