Looking for a good electric lock for my tailgate. Any ideas or suggestions.

 

go to google.com and type in "electric tailgate lock". you're looking at about $70+ bucks. i can't tell if they lock the handle or send a bolt through the side of the gate. good luck.

I have a manually operated Pop-It Lock on my tailgate. It works good and fit good without modifications. Pop-It also makes an electric version of it, if I remember correctly, that costs a bit more. JCWhitney advertises it.

 

You could always go with a talegater. It's an electric tailgate opener. You would just take off the locks and use the actuators. That would keep it from being opened unless you used the remote or a switch.http://www.talegator.com/tg-2.html
