F1 steering box adjustment??

I'm a little confused........ I was going to adjust the steering box on my F1 but it isn't as I expected. My understanding was that there is supposed to be an outer nut to loosen and then adjust the center 'bolt' in to tighten it up and then re-tighten the outer nut back down to hold it. Mine has the outer nut but no way of adjusting the 'bolt' (no slot or hex hed etc).

What am I missing (mis-understanding)???

Thanks for any help!!!

Take the nut of the side of the box. There is a little plate that is stuck in the end of the nut. Pop it out. Put the nut on. Use a wrench on the nut and use a big screwdriver to turn the inside bolt. Put the little plate back in the nut.
