I'm looking for a reputable Chroming facility in Southern California. I live in S. Riverside County. It's been 30 years since I've had chroming done. How do the reproduction 56 truck grilles compare with original. I'm guessing that to chrome the grille is going to cost about the same a repo grille. I'm in the same situation with the running boards. Both grille and running boards are in good condition. Just a small amount of surface rust on the back of the grille. So, can you help me with some names here?

I take my stuff to Tijuana Mexico. They do a fantastic job, and the chrome lasts forever. Its pretty cheap for me, as we bring him lotsa business. There is also American Plating, here in San Diego. I will try and get some contact info for you, or you can PM me.

Ten years ago I used a chrome guy off of interstate 10 near Pomona. Their name was either Reliable or Dependable. If you do go to Mexico, remember the supplimental auto insurance. If you get in an accident without it, they can keep you there until you pay for the damage. Also, take extra cash in case you need to bribe a cop! Good luck, John
