Electrical Gremlins

Have a 2001 SD 250. This morning the battery was dead, so I put a battery charger on. When the battery had a little juice there was nothing but relays chattering, under the dash and in the engine compartment.
Disconnected the battery and charged it the full day.

Tonight I reconnected the battery. The chattering relays were not as bad, but when I sat in the truck, with the doors closed and the key out of the ignition, it was acting like someone was turning the ignition (or the acc part of the ignition) on and off. The radio and heater fan would go on and off.
I've checked the wiring on the ignition block and unplugged/replugged all of the relays I can find and all seem OK.

It did this about 6 mo ago but then seemed to just go away.
Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks,
John

Have you checked the Battery? Sounds like it is not providing the power necessary.

Has it been raining heavely in area?
If so I would look for water leaking into fuse box under the hood or into the connection between the firewall and fuse box under the dash. I believe we talked about a similar problem with a loose connection at the firewall .
Its a connector with a bolt through the center of it on the firewall .
