I was just wondering what the average order time was for everones truck. The dealership cant find me the truck i want so they said they will probably have to order it. They said it would be 6 to 8 weeks but i just wanted to get a real world time frame.

Took me exactly 4 weeks from order date to picking up at the dealer. Your results may vary, of course. I ordered a super cab lariat 4x4 with a few options...nothing out of the ordinary like DVD system or anything like that.

 

I ordered my new truck on 3/30/04 and it will be here next week. So, about 4 weeks. I was told 4-8 weeks.

 

I think mine is the exception...It took 13 days from order to my driveway. I live only a few miles from the Norfolk Plant and my salesman drove it from the plant for me. I can't see many people beating it unless they know someone. I still had to pay delivery, but it was worth it to reduce the wait. It was the longest 2 weeks of my life. It has EVERY available option on the Lariat (Toreador w/ black leather interior).

 

I ordered my XLT on 4-2-04 and the dealer received it 4-26-04. I pick it up tomorrow and start a week off from work. I think I may put a few hundred miles on it by this time next week if I'm lucky!

8 weeks to the day. Ordered Feb. 18/04, received Apr.17/04.Black FX4 Screw, 5.4
black leather interior, captains chairs and console.black nerf bars Made in KC.
Love it.

 

Ordered it 3/29 and pick it up 4/27. About 4 weeks.

 

I got you all beat. I ordered on March 29, 2003 (first week you could order) and I received it September 12, 2003. Only 24 weeks!

 

Ordered on 4/01/04 and picked it up on 4/26. Silver XLT scab, 5.4, tow package, reverse sensing. 25 days from Norfolk to San Diego, not bad.

 

Ordered Feb 24. It arrived at the dealer on Tuesday Apr 27. So that was 10 weeks to the day. I will be picking it up on Monday. Don't know why it took so long. I am in Edmonton, AB but I do know from the VIN that the truck was built at the Norfolk, VA plant.

 

I need a math refresher. That was *only* 9 weeks not 10

 

I was told 6-8 weeks. It arrived in 7 weeks.
