1958 ford gas tanks
hi i am currently restoring a 1958 ford f 100 and want to move the gas tank from behind the seat to a different location, any suggestions?

Welcome to FTE. you might try the 1948-1960 truck section a little further down the page. hope this helps

I moved mine into the very front of the bed. There really isnt any other place on these trucks, almost no room under the frame for one.

hi,i have to agree with fordguy,the best place for it is in the bed up by the bulkhead.i have a 58' that i am restorodding,and i put my fuel cell in the bed by the bulkhead.hope this help's/scott.

If you can find a panel truck or "bread van" in the wrecking yard around the same year, those tanks should fit inside the frame rail. You'd need to get the mounting brackets off the frame too.
Or, how about under the bed behind the rear end?
