Supercharger for 2004 5.4L Triton

Who builds a supercharger for the 2004 F150, 5.4L Triton engine? What are other ways to safely improve performance? Thank you.

The Whipple 2.3L Twin Screw is the closest to production: http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/product.asp?ProdID=1203

This is what they told me through an email about it: "We are currently running a prototype intercooled supercharger system on a
5.4 3 valve and a 5.4 2 valve Ford vehicle. We are just awaiting CARB
approval. We are hoping to have these systems released by early summer
2004. We do not have a set price at this time, but our target price is
around $5500.00 for the complete intercooled supercharger systems. Our
systems are designed to bolt right on your stock motor. This system should take about 4 to 6
hours to install. The system will come with very detailed installing
instructions. We will be reflashing the OEM stock computer."

I for one am looking forward to bolting one on but one thing stands in my way...
!!!MONEY!!!

They had an article about the whipple in Truckin' mag. Pushed the HP up to 450 with a new air intake and exhaust. Dont remember what the torque was and cant look it up since the issues was stolen along with my backpack.

My friend works at ATI Procharger...by FAR the best blower/intercooler combo on the market. They are working on getting a prototype going, but production is still a long way out. They asked me for my truck to use, but I'm not sure about that...

i do have to admit that the prochargers are nice, i for one like having something to look at when you pop the hood open instead of having the blower tucked away in the engin compartment and i dont think the increase in hp and torque will be much different between the two. Im gonna go with the whipple when i comes out

Know that i think about it, Whipple shouldnt come out with that supercharger, Id only end up racing my truck with that much power pushing it.

Wink

Wipple = low rpm hp, harder on drive train

ATI Procharger = hp builds with revs, less initial impact on drive train

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Isn't it a good idea to wait until they've been out awhile before installing them? To see if they have any bugs? Also, doesn't this void your warranty?

Spoke to my dealer today regarding warranty implications after the installation of a SC. His response, as long as the failure is not caused by the SC then it will
not effect the warranty. I realize this is a broad statement but definitely better
then the response from GM regarding Supercharging my 01' Vette. GM's response, they won't touch it if it has a SC installed.
