97 F350 Turn Signals and Doorlocks

Hey guys I am new to the forum and I am having a couple of problems with my 1997 F350 PSD. My turn signals have quit working, I have checked the fuses and they are all good, my hazzard lights are still working. The second problem is the door locks, they will for no apparent reason just lock and unlock while the truck is running. Doesn't seem like a loose connection or anything, meaning it does not happen it conjunction with a bump in the road or anything. Maybe some of you have dealt with the same problems.

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Does it have an after market alarm? May be from a previous owner? I can't think of a common problem to cause those concerns. I hope this helps.

It does have an aftermarket alarm. When The door locks do get to going crazy ( up and down for no reason) The park lights are not flashing with them, which led me to believe that it may not be the alarm causing the problem. I think I am going to order a service manual so I can trouble shoot these problems.

Thanks for your reply,

I would get a manual for the alarm too. Maybe when they put the alarm on they tapped into something that is now shorting or they created a bad spot in the wiring. I have repaired may an electrical problem caused by a "professional" alarm install. Try unplugging the alarm and see if everything goes to normal.

On the subject of turn signals not working, the multi function switch can be faulty. Also, look in the Misc. Forum under Electrical Systems/Wiring.
