Cool Anyone want a 430 Lincoln....

I'm a bit disappointed in the 430 Lincoln that a previous owner placed in my 56 F350. It was leaking oil something terrible so I recently took it out and replaced all the seals - seemed to do the trick for about 40 miles. Now it leaks just as it did before.

I 'd love to put a 272 back in it - anyone have an extra one? Heck, getting rid of this 430 is a start - anyone want it?

Heck Bessie, with a sales intro like that, I don't think anybody wants it. Have you tried listing it in the classified section of this site? Good luck, John

I have one but I was planning on selling it. It on the other hand is in excellent shape and I will probably be listing it next week. It looks and runs like a new engine. BTW there are several 292's on ebay that are going for less then $400 this week. Ed

Thanks for the response guys...... Jag Red, I probably should have mentioned that the 430 has a new harmonic, water pump, starter, etc, is very strong and purrs like a kitten - it does!! I suspect the leak is a result from the strange way it was mounted into the Ford and bolted onto the orignal transmission. With a little remod, I'm certain this configuration would be fine - I'm just really wanting to put an orignial back in it. I will give the classifieds a try....

Any takers on the 430???
