The problem is I dont have the time to keep going to different dealers and when I go to one I expect them to treat me as if I was about to buy this truck. Not as a whining dogooder with 35,000 out of pocket and nothing to do but complain.

I just checked, and there are indeed, exactly 20 2004 F-150s for sale on eBay as of five minutes ago. Let's take a closer look:

1 of them was wrecked in an accident. I don't think we can blame Ford Engineering for that.

5 of them are HERITAGE/ Lightning models. I don't think anyone here has a problem with them vibrating, do they?

10 of them are for sale by dealers. 2 of those were masquerading as private sellers, but if you read all the way through the ad, you'll find the dealer's name.

That leaves 4 for sale by owners, and one clearly stated in his ad he had to sell the truck because he was losing his job.

That means there are only THREE 2004 F-150 new-body-style trucks for sale by owners on eBay, a WORLD-WIDE auction site, that are potential unhappy owners. If that's all there are, then I think it's time SOMEONE here owes an apology to Ford Motor Company for even starting this thread without checking the facts. Case closed, and I think the Moderator should lock the thread at this point.

Go thru any classy late model used car lot and you will see row after row of one to two year old vehicles for sale (and i am not talking about 3 to 4 year old vehicles coming off leases). This is America and people love their vehicles and they love to trade. Altho that's not my style, more power to them. But I feel for the guys with legit 2004 F150 problems. When i pull up next to an 04 F150 at a gasoline station or parking lot, i normally ask the people how they like their new truck. I talked to the 11th owner tonight and so far not one complaint from anyone. Also, two friends at work have the new 04's, and i have known both of them for about 10 years. No complaints from them either (a screw cab 4X4 lariat and a screw cab 2wd xlt). So sorry to hear some new owners have problems but based on my personal experiences the 04 fords are one fine truck.
