To be an NYPD Officer or not??
i want an honest opinion from all law enforcement officers, wether or not i should drop out of school and go into the NYPD academy this July, or continue with my education, get my bacholers and then decide if i want the job or not? i am also on several other PD list but none are ready to hire as of now. need some good advice.

You have to do what you thick is best for you!!! I dont know how old you are but just think of relaxing after you do 20yrs with that city job.I work for the New York City Fire Dept. and am not to old so i think of that 20yrs and out,So good luck and keep me posted,and we need to have a truck gathering in new york!!!

hey FordTuff1! i think if everything goes right, i will take the job and continue school on the side..i promised myself. im 21 so retiring at 42 aint half bad, but depending on how i feel then, i want to do 30 so my pension is just a tad more. What fire house are you stationed at? i have some buddies in there. yea, i think we should have a FTE picknic or something in july. where abouts are you from? im here in seaford. thanks for the advice.

Hey whats up!!! I am from brooklyn area so if a meet is good for a summer thing let me know when!! I work in the 15th Divison in BKLYN with the Fire Marshall!!!Where do your buddies work!!!But i would def. like a meet with other truck members but no 1 in this area meets!!! A good night out truck and ladies is great every now and then!!!Let me know what is up!!!talk to you later!!!!

I am a little behind in posting but are you out of your F******in Mind...Been there, Done that, HATED it. Especially now the majority of bosses have 5 years on and KNOW NOTHING about the real world. I would skip it. If you are dead set on Law Enforcement, Look out of state. I always said "It would be a great job somewhere else!!!"
