Mudding near Parry Sound
#2
Brad : It is getting hard to find a spot around Parry Sound that is not private land any more or has been gobbled up by the Real Estate brokers trying to market it all off to cottagers .
I have not been mudding my Ford much since it lived in Elliot Lake , but have noticed there are still some old skid roads and slash roads in the Hurdville and Broadbent areas and the Blackwater Rd . and Nipising Rd. which runs through from #141 to North Bay
in fits and stretches .
A lot of the old mud runs have also been claimed by the snowmobile clubs and ATV club
who get quite upset if one chews them up with a set of 40" diggers .
If on patrol in these areas most of the locals will direct a fellow to an acceptable spot if it is explained that we are only looking to play a little where it will not agrivate anyone that may already be doing some type of playing of their own . Good Luck :

They do exist :
Brad R : Been checking around with some of the 4X4 guys here as I just moved back after 11 years out west .
It seems there is a mud run on the power lines north of town that runs all the way to a little community called Ardbeg and a whack of mudders come up in the late spring and run it with events and prizes etc .
I knew there was somthing in the area as I recently seen a lot of the trucks fueling up or fueling mudders on trailers .
I'm not sure how often they come up here and do this run but assumed some of the participants would be members here as there upwards of 40 I'm told and most from southern Ontario .
Will keep my ear to the ground for more information as I understand that this
action attracts quite a crowd of spectators in various difficult spots , and though I will not abuse my "78 this much any more I would still like to eyeball
some of this action .
Hope this is of some help and I'll keep listening .
