I have a 2002 F-350, V10, which has newly installed electronic trailer brake control. A continuous "buzz" has started (sounds like it is under the dash). The buzz will stop when the brake is depressed, but starts immediately once you let off of the brake. Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

Its been years since I worked with any controllers.. Can you give us any more info? Did you insstall this yourself? What kind of controller is it? How/where is it mounted?
Could the buzz be relay chatter?

As an off the wall guess, try slightly adjusting the angle at which the controller is installed and see if that stops it...

 

Yea first if you got it installed somewhere take it back!! Is the buzz coming from the unit itself or somewhere else under the dash?? Make sure there isn't an obvious short somewhere before you keep driving it!! We don't want any fire post stories!!

 

Turns out it was the angle, I had it installed "professionally" but the thing was almost straight up and down (about 85 degrees from level!) Thanks alot
