2500 lb and very little sag

Pulled a couple of loads of green hard wood this weekend. Basically filled the bed with wood. That is about 2500 lbs. The truck looked loaded but only squatted about 4-5 inches. Had about a 30 mile highway drive, fairly flat but there were some big hills at the delivery point. The 5.4 had lots of power to spare. I love this truck.

Cool story. I'm glad the truck worked just fine for you. It would have been cool if you had some pictures. I like to see the trucks working and not just for show. Good luck with the truck. John.

I moved my entire appartment by just using my truck. If my memory servers correct, my '03 5.4L 2wd had a rating of 3000 lbs in the bed at 12,500 towing....not to shabby.

....unless that 03' had a diesel in it I think your payload and towing #'s are waaaaaaaaay off.....no offense.. . The 04' Heavy Duty truck can only tow 10,000lbs. and the payload is around 2200lbs......

I'll check my papers when I get home tonight, but those are the numbers that I remember when I purchased it. Maybe mine's just a "special" truck.

Don't do that to a Supercrew Lariet, 400 lbs and it squats big time. I added some Timbren spring helpers and it's good to go now.
