My dome lights stay on all the time. All the doors are shut and the light switch is off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Sounds like one of your door switches is stuck. Check them all, especially the rear lift gate switch.

 

lube the door latches with something like wd-40. lube them well and open and close the doors several times. This works well.

 

The light switches are integral to the door latches. I had that same problem with my previous 93 XLT and my present 96 EB.

Solved it by spraying all latches with Brake Parts Cleaner (protect the paint). After allowing 15 mins to dry, resprayed latches with silicone lube (though WD40 will work just as good). Haven't had a problem since, though my EB has smart lights that shut off after 10 mins.

 

I am having the same problem with my 97 EB, the Haynes Manual says to lubricate the latches with engine oil, anybody try this?
