Autolite 4300 on 351C - leaks
I have a '71 Ranchero 500 with the 351C and C6 transmission. The carb has always leaked at the fuel filter/carb body connection. I installed a new filter but it still leaks, I did not use a thread sealant - should I ?
I have been told several time that a 351C and C6 in a Ranchero is rare, is it ?
Thanks

rancheros are pretty rare by themselves, they got C-6, FMX and toploader 4 speeds, so rare/3? here's a link for you-http://web.archive.org/web/20030601231517/http://www.ranchero.org/
i don't know if you can break down production by trans? for your leak, you could try teflon tape on the threads, but make sure you don't get any in front of the threads and into the fuel flow. start a couple of threads back. kind of a "hope it works" fix, might be time for a carb.
