I drove a loaner 04 F150 xlt this week, first time. Pretty cool.
I think I saw the AC vents light up neon blue in the dark, but on the return trip home, they didn't. What turns these things on? Full moon??
Also, why is there a key hole in the back bumper?

LOL!! Alright, I guess I had that coming! But, COME ON! Neon lights in the A/C vents? Ford won't even put a light in the glove box anymore- why would they illuminate the dash vents?

 

Maybe you saw a reflection off the chrome surronds on the air vents(?)

 

ok, gimme a break. I drive a crumby old '03 lariat with black, 1997 vintage, non -chromed vents...yes, it must have been a reflection of the highway lights or something, but i thought it was a great new feature i had missed out on when i bought the last '03. Neon AC vent lights...just think...would have been a good accessory for old Markii in Rochester to look at while he drinks a Genny.
(I moved away from Western NY and sure miss my Genny)
