Talking The Shop Manuals Arrived!

They came via UPS yesterday evening. The Helm workshop and wiring manuals for the '04 F150. The workshop manual is absolutely huge! 2 inches thick. I've got a ton of reading to do....

Yup, but I neglected to order the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual, and that's the one I need to look into the drive by wire system. It's on order now!

Don't need the reading glasses anymore. The Navy was kind enough to do my eye laser surgery last year.

Does that mean you need a larger magazine rack in the bathroom now? Nice with the laser! Any night vision issues?

Night vision's great. I had PRK, not Lasik.

You're right about the magazine rack. The workshop manual ($190) will absolutely not fit in a 2 inch binder (it's got three holes in it already, thank goodness!) You really need a 3 ring binder with the rings having one flat side.

The wiring manual ($60) will fit in a 2 ring binder, and I'm hoping the PC/ED manual ($120) will fit in a 2-inch binder also.

No more upgrades this year!!!

Dust1,
You still active duty? I am, and haven't been luck enough to get the laser surgery yet. I am still on the waiting list and hope it happens before I retire. I haven't ordered the manuals yet, but will in the future. I have a set from my 88 Ford and they were the best investment I made for that truck. I was able to virtually all the maintenace on that truck myself.

Yup, I'm still on active duty. 21 years so far. Was on the waiting list for a year to get the PRK.
