Mr. Clean Carwashes

Anyone else use the mr clean autodry carwashes yet? I got one, i washed my whole truck in 20 min before i went to golf, of course, there were some spots i missed w/the sponge, but no water spots. I'd reccomend it. You put the soap in the gun, and the filter in the gun, hook i up to the hose, then turn it to rinse, it shoots normal water and you rinse off your vehicle, then turn the dial to soap, and sponge it, or whatever you use, then turn it back to rinse, and then to the AutoDRy setting, and it filters out all the minerals and stuff, that way it doesnt leave any water spots. Works pretty good. So share your opinions on it!

What's it cost for the soap? Or can you use any car wash soap?

I have just seen it on TV and thought it looked pretty good. We don't ever hook up our hose because it is a pain to get the main to it turned on, so I probably won't be getting on anytime soon

I use the Mr.Clean and love the spot free rinse, I'm not fond of the soap, but that's just me. As to the soap, it only recommends the Mr.Clean brand; but hey, it's got a one year guarentee (so if your new soap bungs it up, say you wern't happy with the spot free and return it). A new 10 use soap bottle is about 10 bucks CDN ($6-7 USD)

I've used mine once so far and it worked great. (Except for the spot I missed on the back bumper.)

I have been thinking about getting one of them and a good soft brush. The Idea of going to the carwash numerous times adds up to a bundle of bucks each summer and no matter how well the truck is waxed, it still gets those white water spots. Our water here is sooooo hard . We actually have some pretty tasty water compared to some places I've been.

Whats the average price of the Mr Clean thingie?

Thumbs up

My truck is sonic blue. When we wash it we have to dry it with towles really fast before the water dries or the spots will have to be buffed out. our water is so hard that normal washing wont get the spots off, and we live in the mojave desert so the sun dries it really quick. the towels leave lint all over it too. used the ststem on my 250 my wifes expy and my motorcycle this week and it is amazing. everything looked like it was just waxed and I didnt take a towel to anything. didn't save any time though. I used all the time I normally dry them watching them dry. next time will be a breeze. Love it

I got my mr.clean at Costco but they did not have replacement filters or soap. Wally world has them displayed next to the unit itself. As to cost, it's about $10 CDN for each replacement and they are good for "10 uses".
