Change of mind...

Hey everyone,
I posted a topic weeks ago about tire size. I was going to put 225/60-15 in the front and 255/60-15 in the back. Now that i notice the 275/60-15 is $2 more, im thinking about going with those. The overall width is 11 inches, compared to 10 inches on the 255. The height is 28 inches compared to 27.1 inches on the 255. Should these fit in my 79 Ranchero without rubbing? I think i remember someone saying they ran 295's barely, but im not sure. Also, i dont want them way over the side of the wheel well, like a low rider. If i have 15x8's with 4.125 backspacing, could i make the 275's fit? Thanks for your help!
Danny

yeah it was 295/55 on a 72 I saw in Carlisle PA. heading to that meet tomorrow. I can't wait!
there was only about 3/4" of clearance on the sides. couldn't tell you what his backspacing was. but 275's should be fine. thats gonna look beefy.
