well ya be in the wrong forum for power stroke. but i can tell ya that the early power strokes eat cam sensors. another problem just coming to light is the wirng for the injectors runs thro the valve cover gasket and these gaskest get shorts or bad connection on them and then it dont run hardly at all.

thanks for your reply.

When you say they eat cam sensors approx. how often does people have to replace them.and the wiring harness getting shorts in them, what do you mean by it don't run hardly at all,you mean the engine is down on power or what. Please reply thanks.

On my bosses truck we have replaced the cam sesnor 4 times its a 1995 power stroke. When i say it wont run hardly it all i mean that it starts fine but has no power what so ever my bosses truck wouldnt pull itself in first gear 4x4 low. would rev up real slow and sounded real rough. then for no reason it would run fine then go back to being real bad. what was happening was the engine oil would push the connector around wich was half burned up and make it contatc or not contact.
