I don't believe any of the Amsoil oils you listed actually have an API rated spec. Amsoil advertises like they are API approved but most or all of them actually are not. "Recommended for" is NOT the same as API approved. Caveat emptor as it may affect your warranty coverage.

I think what is listed here is a cut and paste from an other sourse, it still could be incorrect though.

Yes guys, it was a cut & paste.

Also note in my original post the following sentence (which I have cut & pasted again)... "Check all info below before purchasing"

I did not add the sentence just for the sake of it... but because I to thought there were potential "issues" with some of the listings???

AlexS is starting off with a positive reputation.
I have a new truck with 3,000 miles. I would like to service the truck myself and use the mobil synthetic oil. What do I need to do to be certain I have no warranty problems? Should I keep a log of the dates and milage when I performed service along with receipts for the oil and filters? Will this be enough? Or is it necessary to have the vehicle serviced by the dealer to maintain the warranty?

Thanks,
Alex

Document, document, document. Keep all your receipts and a log so you can prove when you did it.
