Skyjacker sells a 4inch lift to use with the stock Highboy lift. It will clear 40's.
Headman Headers makes all kinds of headers for these trucks, I got mine through a local Napa store, they are not through the fender though.

Hi! Welcome to FTE!

I have not seen any fenderwell exit headers for your truck with a 360. There are several out there for trucks converted to 460's but that's all I know of. If you're planning to put giant tires on your truck you won't want to go with a fenderwell exit header anyhow as they will rub, unless you use a 15"+ suspension lift to put the whole truck above those 49's, which will make it extremely tipsy.

I think the biggest "off the shelf" lift is the 4" by Skyjacker. If you're looking for more you'll probably need to get a hold of National Spring and have a set of custom springs built for it. If you have time visit the offroad forum and look into shackle flips and other alternatives for lift too. Extreme arch springs, often used in large lifts, are terrible for performance and ride, there are other alternatives which are more functional and sometimes less expensive. You'd also be well off to do a major fender trim to reduce the amount of lift you'll need.

Lastly, if you do plan to put 49" tires on your truck you will be looking at some major modifications and expense. I don't know if you want to get into that if you're not looking to spend much. Besides the $1800-$2000 you'll spend on tires you will have to buy different axles as the 49" tire will snap your stock axles like twigs, especially the front. A set of 2.5 ton Rockwells would be ideal but they'll run you $500 - $1000 each. It's not that it can't be done, but it will be a lot of money to make it happen.

7" of lift will really be pushing it with 42's unless you trim your fenders. If you trim them it's no problem at all. You most likely have a Dana 44 front axle though and you will be breaking axles all the time with 42's. It's just way too much size to run on a little axle like that. You'll need to regear both axles and I would swap a Dana 60 up front, which will handle them fine. Are you familiar with a shackle flip? If you do this in the rear, combined with a 4" spring you'll get 7-8" out of it. Then just have some custom springs and extended shackles built for the front and you'll be pretty close.

If this truck is just a mud beater I'd really consider trimming your fenders. If you want to get an idea of it check out the gallery I link at the end here. Ho's truck only has about 6" of lift. He chopped a few inches off the fenders and fit 44's under there just fine. And it looks hella cool to boot. http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gall...hp?userid=1800

My buddy works at a local muffler place that does customs, and I mentioned your dilema,I have to agree with his advice, just talk to a local knowledgable muffler place and they should be able to set you up,and if they can't get yourself a welder and fabricate an exhaust system for yourself. As you are dealing with fairly thin pipe you don't need the best welder out there but the welder is still capable of doing body repair etc...Watch your lift bud,you are getting into rollover territory, don't do it unless the terrain you are exploring requires it. thanks again for the advise...i am gonna drop it off in a mud pit sat and see how the little 360 is going to hold up...so if it fails then i am gonna scrap the motor and start with a 460 that i have in the garage and see what i can build.....this free project has already cost me about 2 grand so we will just have to see how it performs.....and i found me a pair of rockwells....bought a whole army truck for 250 that still runs...well barely runs but good enough to see that the axles are still good...i think i am gonna strap them to the bottom of my 79 and see what happens.....does anyone know where to get wheels that are not doolies for the back?
