Opinions of stacks on an '87 F-150?

I see stacks advertised in JCWhitney that look neat, and was toying with the idea of installing some. Anyone have pics of their truck with stacks on? Was just wondering, BTW, I have a long bed, standard cab. I have a few pics of my truck in my gallery. I know I would have to remove the Tool box, but would they look cool on her? Need opinions

Franken-truck, your truck looks nice...keep it that way. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and don't put stacks on it. There is a truck where i live with stacks on it and it just looks goofy. Unless you want this to be dorky-looking truck, leave your tool box where it is. Stacks are made for semis and other big diesels. Just my opinion though.

Dorky huh? Don't want dorky, Red Neck maybe. There are very few trucks I have seen that were bad enough to be called Dorky, and I don't want mine to be up there either What about if it was a step side and lifted?

Thumbs down

Personally I think they look ridiculous too. I wouldn't do it. It's your choice though, you'll have to live with the snickering.

it looks really good on a lifted stepside. they fit right in there. remember the "lil red express" by dodge. that was a good looking truck and it had smoke stacks. you have to get those heat shield things the truckers have areound it or else it just looks like a gutter down pipe.

If you are really wanting to use those stack then may I suggest that you use them for side pipes instead.

Side pipes will look much better then stacks.

There's a guy here in town that has a early 80's longbed, that put a dually rearend under a standard long box and has the stacks behind the cab, and it looks really cool. It is a diesel though.
