I have a f 250 2000 mod.7,3 diesel. Now it start to use atf.I cannot see any leaks under the car.It is dry everywhere.I used about 5 quarts in one week,if it had been any gasket or seals ,i would see it.It just come out from a shop, they took out the transfercase to fix it.Now i wonder if they have done something funny. Please help a cold Norwegian.
Don't know if these trucks have a similar configuration, but my '95 F150 had the seal between the tranny and t-case go bad and start leaking atf from the tranny into the t-case. You might want to check the fluid level in the t-case to see if it's way over-full.
Thank you guys,it was like you say.I went back to the shop, and the mecanic open the filling plug on the transfercase. It came out about five Qarter atf.
