Slave Cylinder

Okay, heres the deal, i have an 87 ranger 2.9 4x4 5spd. But the tranny in the truck must be an older one becsaue what my book is telling me ( hanes book ) it is saying that i can bleed the cluth and there is no where on this tranny to bleed it. i have the tranny out and the mastercylinder still connected. i can see the slave cylinder perfectly now and i dont see no bleeder screw. so i was wondering if you could tell me what year you think this tranny is... ??
Thx alot

I don't know if this will help, but I have a 88' with the mazda trans. They have an internal slave that sits inside the bell housing. My bleeder is sticking out of a hole that is 2' above where the hydralic line connects on the driver's side.

I have had several vehicles with slave cylinders, ALL on the outside of the bell housing where they were easy to get at and service. Why in the world did Ford decide to put theirs where you can't get at them - there must be a reason.
