Welcome to FTE!

You might find a thread that has that info in the after market forum or the appearance forum.

I had a bedliner for a fullsize chevy put in my 72. I had to trim the back about 1/2 an inch and it rubbed on the top of my bedrails a little. I eventually took it out and had a spray in done. I think it was a liner for a 73-87 chevy but it might have been the 88+.

Hope this helps!

you can get a do it yourself rhino line kit at your local parts store for around a hundred bucks, i've yet to do it but i've seen it on a buddys truck, looks good and it is just as tough. just like a paint job-clean it, sand it, clean it again, primer, then the rhino line.

I'm gonna get my bed sprayed on with the Line X lining. I heard its the best and a dealer quoted me $500 thats for an 8 foot bed and over the rails. Sounds a little high so I'm going to shop around a little more. I think spray on bed liners are the way to go. I have a plastic drop in now and its warped and scratched the heck out of the bed!

I've read here that people that had the liner sprayed on over the rails have had problems later on when they wanted to add a tonneau cover.
Just a heads up.....
I have a drop in and a tonneau cover. The drop in goes below the rails. Also, my truck has the built-in rail protectors.

I love the spray in! Got it on both my trucks. No warping or rubbing will happen, ever. Plus the texture of it makes for great traction in your bed. With the plastic liners anything in the bed slides all over the place and I can't count how may times I almost busted my arse walking in my bed when it was raining!

Thanks for the heads up Maypo! I don't think I will ever put a tonneau cover on though. I need to go over the rails because the previous owner put those chrome flashing bed rail protectors on it and when I took them off the rails it had a little bit of rust under there from water getting under it. I say go with the spray on Fordnut its more expensive but a good investment!
