Noisy PCV

First, I'm not nuts.

I recently changed my PCV when I had a line to it go bad. I changed all the lines, the elbow under the TB and the PCV.

Thinking there was no way the brand of a PCV could matter, I just picked one up at the local parts store. Well, my engine developed this strange noise. It sounded like a tiny exhaust leak or a playing card on a bicycle wheel (low volume and muffled). It was really bothering me.

Since I'm a total believer in looking at the last thing you did, I stopped by the Ford dealer and picked up a real Motorcraft PCV. I put it in this morning and drove 200 miles today. No noise. I'm amazed, but it happened!

I hope this helps someone else.
