Go Phil!!!

I have never been a real fan of Phil Mickelson, but when I saw him yesterday at the Masters sporting a Ford shirt, I had to jump on the bandwagon. I never knew he was sponsored by Ford, if he is, but I hope he finally breaks thru and wins his fist Major!!

I've been watching his career since it began.

It is unbeliveable to do what he has never mind having Mike Weir (Canadian) join him in the ranks.

I'm not sure everyone knows that Golf Courses are mainly laid out for Right-handed golfers.

Go get-em Lefty

Talking First Major

HE WON!!!!

Sank a long birdie put on 18 to win it. Only the fourth to put for the win on the 18th in Master's history. Probably the best tournament I've ever watched. It got really exiting there towards the end.

Congrats to Phil!

It was a very good ending to a great tourny. I thought he missed that last putt, though...

But that still doesn't answer the question: Does Ford sponsor Phil? I'll be watching in the future to see if he is wearing a Ford shirt again.

im not sure of his sponsorship but i saw his putt from a distance about 30 feet away from my tent. of course he was like 80 yards away from where i was but it was unbeliveably quiet for at least 2 minutes. the crowd was quiet. my concessions tent was silent, even the birds shut up. then a roar. i know there were alot of happy and drunk people today. my tent alone sold 32 kegs of beer. and that wasn't even a full day since it was sunday and we started selling at 12:30 til 4:00p.m. hey stu37d, what did you have to eat while you were there. i was working at the concessions tent at the end of #8 and near the crosswalk of #18. I worked at the first stand you came to after walking through the large open area between #9, #8, and #18

Phil is sponsored by Ford, Titeleist (sp), and Bearing Point. He's even been in a few of Ford's commercials. There's also a new commerical featuring Phil and Toby Keith. Phil and Toby are on stage before a concert, and Phil is singing a version of one of Toby's songs, "Whos You're Caddy?" It's pretty funny.

According to what Ford says, Phil is Americas version of Wayne Gretzky here in Canada. I guess they are more like spokespeople for Ford, either way congrats on the win Phil.

When Phil was in town last year for the PGA Championship, our dealership loaned him a couple of Expeditions for his use. He wanted to stop by the showroom and say thanks, but he couldn't find the time. Instead, he left us an autographed photo, and about half a dozen autographed golf caps, along with a really nice letter.

While walking down one of the fairways here last year, a spectator held out a cap for him to autograph. Phil first waived him off, trying to get to his next shot. The fan yelled out, "PHIL! I just bought a new F-150, for pete's sake!" Phil did a 180, walked right over and signed the cap, all the time a big smile on his face. Signing Phil was definitely one of Ford's better ideas!

That was a really cool thing for him to do. I wonder how many cars FoMoCo gives to their bigtime sponsors, like Phil and Toby Keith. In just about every music video that Toby has put out, there is at least one Ford in them. And whenever I see Phil on TV, he is always wearing a Ford shirt.

I'll be looking for the Ford shirt from now on. And I'll definitely be looking for the new commercial. My favorite Ford truck that Toby used was the big Tonka in "Who's Your Daddy?" He opens his concerts with a transformer like truck, too. I'm looking forward to seeing his concert again this year.

Like I said earlier, I'll be rooting for Phil from now on. Being sponsored by Ford makes him seem morew like one of the guys. Sorry, biggreen4x4, I didn't mean to sound like I was there. I was watching on TV. I'd like to go some day, but how much is the admission to the Masters?

Yeah, that's the impression I get- lol. I guess I'll just have to enjoy the masters on tv, where I can lay on the couch and wish I could do what those guys do with a little white ball.

Besides, on tv, you get to see all the replays from a thousand different angles...
