I would like to know what kind of 1/4 mile times i can expect for my truck, it has a 350hp 351w, with a toploader wide ratio 4-sp, currently it has 3:1 gears (if would also like to know the times for 3:5:1, and 4.3:1 gears to if possible), and no locker and it ways about 3650lbs.

In one video I held the brake but in the other I didn't. I just stomped it. I can hook up much better if I go easy on the gas. My truck runs mid 14s.
These trucks can hook up fairly decent with some good tires and traction bars. My 60 foot times on skinnier tires was a consistent 2.2 seconds. I think I can get solid 2.1s on the tires I have now.
Oh yeah, if I were to run without a tranny cooler I would be doing a rebuild every time I went to the dragstrip. It used to make the floorboard almost too hot to touch just cruising around without getting on it. I used the AC condenser and converted it to a tranny cooler. Now I can go rip on it and the floorboard is cool to the touch. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!
thanks guys. I'm also thinking of building an extra 9" diff that has 4.30's and a spool for the track ( with someones help i can change the 3rd member in 10-20mins) and if i did do this i would buy some traction bars from summit, with this set up in place what should i be expecting?

thanks guys. Now that i've driven the truck i going to put in 3.50's because the 3:1's chatters the clutch (vibrates the truck all to hell too) real bad because of the high 1st gear in the tranny and the fast rear gears, but thanks again.

your combo is good for high 12s actually. It wont because its a truck for one, higher up/wind resistance, elevation, driving skills, there are a thousand factors that effect this but 350 horsepower should push a 3650lb vehicle to 12.70. if everything is perfect. there are a lot of calculations a guy can do to figure out this stuff.
To figure wich gear ratio is right for your truck you need to deside what RPM you want to cross the line at. Then calculate tire highth and the rpm to figure gear ratio. If you go to 4.30s and you run up to 6200 RPM but your 351 only pulls to 5500 and then flatens out you will loose top speed. Go to Randy Ring and Pionion.com. There is a calculator there to determine gear ratios and RPMs.
A friend of mine went to 4.56s in his Chevelle and lost 6 tenths.
