swap 5.4 from Expy to SD

Has anybody swapped a 5.4 out of a 2000 Expedition into a 99 F 250 Super Duty? The engine in the SD seized and this is the closest replacement engine we can find. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

B.

It is a 5.4 l that came as original equipment. The question is if these engines are interchangable. Would it be an easy swap for a backyard mechanic,

I don't have any experience with the newer vehicles or the 5.4, but it sounds like they are the same motor and should be an easy swap.

I believe this is probably true. We're going to try it . It should be the same basic block and we can swap the electronics to the donor engine if necessary.

Thanks for your input,

B.

Considering that both are relatively new motors, I doubt you would even need be concerned with the electrinics swap. I'm "guessin" this will be a direct move of the block and you are set to go...

Good luck --Mike
