Yeah, not very far at all. What year truck is it? Is the gasket blown? Haven't seen a blown head gasket in a while. Usually that was more a 6.9 problem.

the truck is a 94. All I know is that I have black oil sludge in radiator and it is not the oil cooler. I don't mind paying the money but just want someone to be fair with me. I am new to area and dont know to many people.

So did you already reseal the cooler? I guess the ones I've done usually leaked to the outside and not the water. Have you talked to Precision Motors in Everett? I think they're pretty well versed on 7.3s. Are you getting a lot of oil in the radiator, or just enough to goop up the top tank? I guess it's possible to get an oil leak in the head gasket, but I've never run into one. How many miles are on this truck? A friend of mine has a 94 with LOTS of miles on it and we haven't touched his engine yet.
