Unhappy Confused now...

Ok ...pvc valve, if one goes bad I would like to know how the motor will react.

And could this cause a reading of #3 missfire ?

If it is leaning out the fuel mixture, it could cause a lean misfire and maybe #3 just picked it up first. I would check the vacuum hose to it, especially behind the throttlebody. They are known to crack or split and cause a lean condition.
