I have a 2000 F150 4.2L V6 3.55 gears Manual Tranny.
I bought the truck new and installed a Superchip a year later. After a while I started loosing the power that the chip gave me. Is the Diablo Delta ALL THAT OR WHAT?
By the way I'm new and any mod suggestions are welcome.
Joe's absolutely correct regarding the computer learning your driving habits and disconnecting your battery to default the settings. I perform that task once per month, but I don't remove my chip, I just shut it off. The Diablo chip comes with a toggle switch that you mount on your dash so you can run multiple tunes. It's really very ingenious. So I just shut my chip off and disconnect my battery for 15 minutes or so and reconnect. You'll definetely notice a difference. This is a habbit practiced by many sportsman drag racers prior to a run. Although, I don't think it's necessary to REMOVE your chip to reset the ECM's settings. The settings on your chip aren't being reset, just your trucks computer. And disconnecting your battery wont harm your chip in any way.
I also reset my computer everytime I make some sort of modification too, so the computer learns on the new mod.
Anyhoooo, thanks for stopping by. Stick around for a bit, we have alot of fun here....especially when Joe is feeling giddy

Yes, it is more agressive. Buy the Diablo is you can spare a couple hundred.
As far as the chips go, THE programmer for both chips at Motorhaven (Ken) personally prefers the Diablo over the Superchips. The Diablo is an all around better chip. Trust me!

Old, i'm only 36 buddy. And you just watch and see how fast 36 creeps up on you. Regardless, I still have more energy and act younger than most guys half my age.

p.s. don't forget to bring me those macaroon cookies when you come visit ok??
Yeah, but pull me behind your truck with a rope on my wheelchair. I wonder if I'd create too much drag if you pulled me down the 1/4 strip while racing a Lightning. Ah, I can already see the collection of white (winning) time slips thumb tacked to my wall over my Craftmatic Adjustable Bed at the old age home.
