Unhappy repair of an old fiberglass bed lid...

about 3 years ago we took this top off our 94 F150 ext cab and sat it laying sideways leaning against the house... well now i want to put it back on everything looks like it will go on fine, but in the middle of it there is a very large dent i think it formed from the hot oklahoma sun sitting on it the last 3 years, is there any way to take it out, eventually i will put a flush fit cover on it, but this one is here now and it would help the looks a bit so, any help is appreciated. thank you in advance

I am not sure how to do it. One place to check is a place that does fiberglass boat repair. If anyone would have the answer, they would,

bondo or fiberglass, some sandpaper, and some paint should take care of it, espically if its a painted cover to begin with. i also have one of these that i should fix up, if i can find a good piano hinge for it...the old hinge (it was a slot type hinge) killed itself, pulling the front panel of the bed off the passenger side, and ramming the hinge into the cab, leaving a nice hole.
