Guage Wiring

I am planning on using my original guages on my 48 F1. Does any one know what the ohm rating is for each guage. I will need to put a resistor on each one.

I don't know off hand - I went the easy way and bought one voltage regulator from Hot Rod and Custom Supply in Cape Coral, FL that handles all the gauges. Just wired it in the hot line.

Cheaper way to go is your local junk yard - all Fords thru at least the mid-70's used 6V gauges and have a VR on the back of the instrument cluster or under the dash close by. Just a thot.........

Here's a link to their info for snailmail, but I'm having trouble finding a link to a website for them.

tlb,
Sorry for trampling on your post, but I've got to learn!
Tim,
Any idea what the voltage regulator looks like? I don't recall seeing one on my 56 when I ripped out the old harness. I also removed the 56 tank and sending unit and installed a 55 tank and sending unit. Guage doesn't work correctly now and don't remember if it did before. I assumed it was a difference in sending unit resistance, but if you are correct, it may be that I didn't put the VR back in the circuit. Any ideas?
Thanks!
