96 psd won't start every time

I own a 96 F-250, 7.3 psd and have a no start problem. Let's say I use the truck in the morning for a drive to the store, it will start and run fine. Now, get back into truck and try to go home, if it will start it runs fine, but if it don't want to, I can wait awhile (maybe 20 min, or so) and the motor will run. I was told that a bad fuel pump was the culpret, wrong still does it. Then I rebuilt the fuel filter assy, (had some air in return), and replaced all the rubber fuel lines, but the problem still exists. What about the cam position sensor, how do I test it.

It could be the CPS going Bad. I dont think there is a way to test it. I would try to get one off of Ebay or from International. Ford is way to Much Money. I keep a spare in the truck at all times.

Quess what, I went to goggle and typed in ford camshaft position sensor. A link popped up to troubleshoot sensor and wiring http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq/9497f.../ecsd/cmp.php3

Is the truck getting to operating temp before you shut it down? If it is it could be the IPR o-rings. If your o-rings are getting bad it will usually start when cold but warm oil is thinner and will go past the o-rings. duece

IPR o-rings are the o-rings in the injector pressure regulator which is found on the back of the High pressure oil pump.
