Ok its 10 degrees F here. Truck sat last night for 8 hours, not plugged in. I had to cycle the plugs 3 times, before it would start. Is this normal. I dont remember it taking this long before. This is on 2001.

I have a 2002 F250, stroke, I have the same problem, but only on ocassion. I understand the next time I have the oil changed, I should have them put a lighter, made for winter, oil in the engine, supposedly that would help.

I'm new to the diesel world. I really like, but I embarassed to admit, I don't know where to plug the damn thing in, let alone, I don't know if I even have the capability!

Your question at least tells me, I'm not the only one having that problem. THANKS

Dont be afraid to ask questions. Your plug should be near the front of the truck, right behind the bumper more towards the drivers side of the truck. And all the newer diesels have a plug.

My truck's plug was behind the driver's side fog light, and it was zip tied into place. I crawled under and just pulled it loose and fed it out around the tow hook. It's pretty easy to find, just grab a flashlight and you'll be able to see it easier since it's all black.
