I own one its in a 89 F-Superduty its the first one I have owned I bought it because I'am tired of owning a F-Superduty with a 460 that gets 6mpg. The truck is a bit underpowered but I bought it for fuel economy some days my old 460 powered truck cost me 80 bucks in fuel I have burned about 35 dollars packing a 9000 pound load of topsoil in a 1 hour drive. I have driven lots of strokes they are nice but I couldn't afford one would have like one in a F-Superduty but like I said I don't have the bucks to shell out 20,000 dollars.

If you have a turbo on your engine then it ain't Naturally Aspirated.
It means that the engine sucks air from the suction of the pistons pulling it in. A turbo force feeds the motor all the air it can handle and then some!

there are probably less non-turbos out there than there are 2wd's, or manual trannies, or some combination of the obscure options that I have.

greyghost, if your looking fo more info on your n/a diesel, check out www.thediesestop.com. This forum deals with all Ford trucks, the diesel stop is mostly just diesel powered Ford trucks.

yes sir i am on that site under the name of 7789fordboy. very helpful people there. i am glad to see i am not the only n/a idi diesel on this site. i was starting to feel a lil alone. yes these motors are a lil under power but you can get the same hp figures as a stock powerstroke.just have to do a lil tweeking under the hood and have a good pyrometer. there r still a fare amout of idi/na diesels running around consitering the 6.9 is just the pre 7.3.

I will have to get use to the slowness of the 7.3 IDI but I think my wallet will be happier I was getting tired of filling the truck up every couple days. With the 460 you never went far away from a gas station when the fuel guage read 1/4 of a tank I always kept the tank 1/2 full. I figured it out the truck cost me 12 dollars a day to drive it and I didn't go very far never used it for pleasure driving it would cost me atleast 20 bucks to go for a hours drive with a M/T truck.

We have a couple of 'em at work. A '88 F350/ZF and a '92/E4OD.

But don't feel bad about being slow! These are still quicker than a Turbo'd cummins in a '89-95 Dodge!

I've got two. An 89 and a 91 I prefer the 91 for the overdrive, the C6 in the 89 was killing me. Lots of torque but very slow and hard on fuel. At 2.69/gallon here in Northern Ontario, we need all the advantage we can get. Would like to try out a psd one of these days, preferably with the cash in hand to buy it
